




As part of their mission to deliver exceptional online healthcare to organizations across Canada, telemedicine startup Dialogue had developed a winning formula: proprietary technology, powered by the country’s largest virtual medical team, paired with patient-centric care.
Project description
Understanding that an external engineering partner would be vital to their success, Dialogue approached Vention seeking solid backend expertise and proficiency in DevOps following several unproductive engagements with contractors. Almost immediately, we set to work delivering a virtual clinic, automated patient management, preliminary screening via a chatbot, and assistance in preparing the platform for SOC 2 certification.
Meanwhile, on the cloud side, our team was responsible for the deployment of a multi-account AWS environment aimed to provide granular, centralized, and secure control over workloads.
And when COVID hit in 2020 and Dialogue experienced a 5x surge in demand and traffic our team was there to support them. We assembled a dedicated team responsible for ongoing optimization, reducing latency of heavy queries from 60 seconds to under 30 milliseconds.
THE RESULT
Having partnered with Dialogue since their Series A, Vention has been proud to support them all the way through a strategic partnership with leading life insurance company Sun Life and $100 million IPO in early 2021. Thanks to their revolutionary product, the company is now the largest telemedicine player in Canada, supporting millions of users across 25,000+ organizations like Samsung, Ubisoft, Sephora, and many more.
