



THE CHALLENGE
When Quiznos approached us, they were trending down quickly. They had pursued aggressive expansion, but had overextended and were forced to scale down significantly. With the restaurant world being such a saturated market, they were desperate to find a strategy to help them boost their local visibility and return to a growth phase.
Our research revealed the size of the challenge, including:
- Less than 500 conversions per month to the site.
- 10-20 page views per day.
- The was no first page visibility for their marquee keywords such as “Restaurants Near Me” & “Best Sandwiches Near Me.”
In other words, they were not reaching a significant portion of their potential client base. A new strategy was absolutely necessary.
THE STRATEGY
Keyword Targeting
The Quiznos website had a glaring omission: there was very little keyword targeting on its pages. After identifying core strategic keywords for each location, we implemented this keyword targeting throughout the site.
Link Building
Finally, Firestarter leveraged a local link-building strategy for Quiznos in order to boost rankings. This relied on submission to aggregators and directories in order to boost NAP consistency and local listings. Over time, Firestarter helped increase Referring Domains from 5,594 to7,468.
Local Landing Pages
A major component of our strategy was to build out local landing pages on a state, city, and location-based level. This hyper-local strategy played a massive role in boosting up local visibility for crucial keywords like “Sandwiches Near Me.”
